TCU QB Hill out for Texas Tech game

(TSX / STATS) -- Quarterback Kenny Hill is one of several starters for No. 12 TCU who will not be available for Saturday's game against Texas Tech, the Fort Worth Star-Telegram reported Friday.

The Horned Frogs (8-2, 5-2 Big 12) need to win their final two games against Texas Tech and Baylor to assure themselves a berth in the Big 12 title game, but the absence of Hill will not help matters. A TCU loss Saturday would put Oklahoma State and West Virginia in contention for a berth in the conference title game, presumably against Oklahoma, which is likely to finish first in the Big 12.

The school did not release the nature of Hill's injury, but the Star-Telegram reported it is a concussion that was suffered in last Saturday's loss to Oklahoma.
